I have another question!

are you filing for EAD and Advance parole too? We have to pay an extra 360$ each even if sent at the same time as AOS?

Everybody is probably getting ready to move or havent started the AOS yet!

I'm fairly certain that filing EAD and AP WITH your AOS allows the fees to be waived. File them separately, then you have to pay the additional fees. I plan on filing for both of them with AOS, just makes more sense :)

Nothing has changed on my case I got notice of interview waiver back in October 2014.

So hopefully soon is their a point where I should consider reapplying for EAD and travel docs?

September interview waiver letter, no status change.

I never applied for AP back when I filed AOS as I didn't think I would need it (and fortunately, haven't yet). However with the length of time it's taking I think I might go ahead an file! I'll need to file for EAD renewal very soon as well, so might end up putting them both in the same packet together.

But part of me thinks (hopes) it's a tad too late now. I can see AP taking 1-2 months to come through... which would take me past the 1-year mark on AOS. I'm probably thinking about this too late.

AOS:

NOA: June 16th, 2014

NPIW: September 29th, 2014

Received Green Card: June 13th, 2015.

RoC:

California Service Center

Submitted: March 22nd, 2017

Completed: October 5th, 2018

N-400:

Submitted: December 11th, 2019

Biometrics: December 31st, 2019

Interview: April 22nd, 2020

Interview descheduled and now waiting for further updates...

You can still try to renew it... My AP/ EAD expires in August and I was thinking of sending the renewal papers in June. Hopefully it'll all work out or I'll get my GC before then.

We have a similar timeline for AoS. I hope April would be our luck.

Everybody is probably getting ready to move or havent started the AOS yet!

You MUST file them together to save money and save time.

This is how you should submit your packet:

Check

Cover Letter+passport sized photos in a small envelope

I-485

I-765

G-325a for the applicant (this is now the K1 visa holder)

I-131 (if applying for AP)

Proof of USC passport/ birth certificate/naturalization certificate (whichever applies to your situation)

Beneficiary's Birth Certificate+Passport+Copy of K1+Copy of I-94

Marriage Certificate

I-864

Letter of Employment for the USC or whoever is the sponsor, if you have a joint sponsor there will be two I-864

Paystubs/copies of checks, these now have to be all 2015 so if you have Jan-present time (if you don't have, you can go ahead and send with letter of employment and Tax Returns)

Tax Returns copies/transcripts for the past 3 years. If you are filing AOS after April 15 you must include 2014 Income Tax.

You can put a copy of your vaccination record that the docs in your country gave you at the back of the packet, or anywhere in the packet

This is how an immigration attorney of 50 years does these packets, so I have it on good authority that this is the way.

Remember guys. we want to make it as easy as possible for the CO to go through our files so in your cover letters make either bullet points or numbers, or some organized way to list and show them where everything is.

Just my two cents.

Checked my AOS case status online last night and found this:

On March 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxx. Please follow the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should arrive by May 22, 2015, after this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

YAy! congrats! Great news to hear!

Hi Gang, We filed June 18, 2014. Today is April 17, 2015. 10 months waiting and still no "green card." I am VERY,VERY disappointed in the Nebraska Service Center processing site. They have basically put our lives "on hold" and I just don't understand WHY, or why it takes so long while we know others that have gotten theirs within 3 months. Mike & Gina

Hi there,

I filed on 2014 June 13, no news has been sent. Actually, you have to looked up to your local USCIS processing time. Mine is processing in Kendall and according to their processing time, they are now working for May 2014 filers. If some people already got their green cards faster just because their local USCIS offices were not as busy as others.

Out of curiosity, for those of you who submitted your application packets, did you submit anything other than basic documents? ie wedding photos, bank accounts showing joint accounts, etc?

Ah ####### wish I could remove my case number... -_- didn't even realize I posted it.

Ah, I did not realized it was there either. I thought you removed some of the numbers. Anyhow, you can ask moderators to removed it along with I quoted on my response.
