We arrived at Long Island City office around 9:50, and waited until 10:30, when our name was called - at our appointment time.

The interview took no more than 10 minutes. A whole bunch of fast questions were directed to my husband and then I but they weren't tricky, just simple questions that we shoud know as a married couple. E.g. what's our cross street? What school do I go to? Where was he born? etc.

He approved us on the spot, and gave my passport the stamp.

Phew! Congratulations, and good luck to everybody else in here. Talk to you in 2016!! ;)

Congrats!

Status update!

On October 16, 2014, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for November 20, 2014. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I followed one of VJ members here and it took almost 7 months for her to get approval from the date of biometric appointment. Again, each local office is vary. You can go here and check it:

Join the party. From my understanding, we, that have received the potential waiver letters are having the cases processed at the National Benefits Center and NOT the local offices.

They say the wait is approximately 6 months from the date of the letter. So that means we are looking at March 2015 since our letter was dated September 10, 2014. Best of luck.

Got my letter today aswell DATED 25 Sep. but there's a lil stamp at the end that says "Unable to process (with hand writting) and Action completed approved for filing (with stamp letters)" I don't understand what is that supposed to mean... then I got an envelope inside with the date they got it with a lil yellow sticker that says return tu sender insufficient address unable to forward"

On 22 Sep i changed my address and letter is dated to 25 sep and letter has my old address but i do not know what is unable to process means.

Has anyone from June (or maybe may or April) received a green card after an interview waiver letter?

I'm wondering if the 6 months is an upper limit, or if genuinely there will be a 6 month (or more) waiting period.

AOS:

NOA: June 16th, 2014

NPIW: September 29th, 2014

Received Green Card: June 13th, 2015.

RoC:

California Service Center

Submitted: March 22nd, 2017

Completed: October 5th, 2018

N-400:

Submitted: December 11th, 2019

Biometrics: December 31st, 2019

Interview: April 22nd, 2020

Interview descheduled and now waiting for further updates...

I missed out on that part... does national benefits center mean Nebraska? Our local one would be the one in Ohio, where I got my biometrics done.

My letter was dated October 15, so it'll take a bit longer. I wonder if people ever get their GC before the infamous 6 months (maybe that's just wishful thinking).

Tank you for the info!

We just got our interview waiver letter. Is that the real deal? 6 months now? What's the reality? 6 months? Longer? Shorter?

hang in there with the rest of us. Time will be the teller in this situation. Hopefully prior to 6 months, but, then, the government is a "HURRY UP AND WAIT' organization. Best of luck to everyone. we are looking at March 2015 for us.
