Today is our interview. 10:30 at Long Island City, NY.

My husband said not to worry that we don't have much additional evidence of our marriage, as that's what happens in real marriages. Some people don't take pictures, and are busy with everyday life and can't make trips. Which is the case of us. We've been busy, and this day sneaked up on us like I don't even know.

Since we're both on our lease, and car insurance we'll figure that should be ok. And, I'm from Denmark so it's a low risk country. I had been here for 3 years already, more or less, so it's only normal that I'd fall in love and not want to leave him.

Hmm... Fingers crosse we don't get a interviewer that has a bad day.

Wish us well!!

We arrived at Long Island City office around 9:50, and waited until 10:30, when our name was called - at our appointment time.

The interview took no more than 10 minutes. A whole bunch of fast questions were directed to my husband and then I but they weren't tricky, just simple questions that we shoud know as a married couple. E.g. what's our cross street? What school do I go to? Where was he born? etc.

He approved us on the spot, and gave my passport the stamp.

Phew! Congratulations, and good luck to everybody else in here. Talk to you in 2016!! ;)

Sometimes when people are approved on the spot the IO gives them a stamp in their passport that is equivalent to the green card and is valid for a year I believe. They still get their greencard in the mail but i've read of cases where sometimes people want to travel right away and so they request it, and some IO's just stamp without even getting requests from the beneficiary..

Yes exactly. I didnt request it, but he just went ahead and asked if I wanted to stamp the passport and I said yes. I guess because he took out my i-90 but my F-1 visa is still in there, that it made it better. Wasn't even sure but my green card is on its way in the mail.

Hi fellow June filers, I had my interview today in the NYC office. My dear husband forgot his passport :bonk: when we arrived at the building and I almost freaked out... Thankfully, we had a very kind interviewer lady, who was cool about it given that I have his original naturalization document. The interview was short and pleasant. However, she never approved me there and handed me a letter which says that they are reviewing the case and I will be notified in 60 days. Anyway, within half an hour of the interview, I received a text message regarding the case status change. I logged in and found out that it is at "Card/Document Production" stage. Does this mean that I have been approved? Thanks everyone for your help!
