We're still stuck at when they got our RFE in August... at least I have my EAD but I'll have to get my drivers license before thinking about working.

Did anyone manage to get their ID with their EAD card? Or get their drivers license?

I got my drivers license with my combo card ☺️

Had our interview today. The lady that handled our case was awesome beyond belief.she was really nice and basically asked questions about us before and after we got married. She approved us on the spot and we were so happy and greatful to God for favours. Wish all of you the best and believe you will be approved.

Congrats!

Did anyone have problems at the interview? These ladies were very unprofessional where we went. They were commenting and touching the computer screen as if there was something going on. We were interviewed together then interviewed separately. They told us they wanted more proof of the relationship and wanted emails and chat logs from when we first started tAlking. :/. We have that info but really ??? All that proof we have them and still want more.

Mitcha32....We had no problems at all. I am surprised but don't worry. maybe they are just trying to be certain which can go overboard at times but you should be good as long as you have everything.

Ok, so we had the green card interview September 15 at the Sansome St., San Francisco USCIS office. After some really tough questioning regarding my previous stay in the US on a student visa, when did I last leave the USA, when was my most recent entry into the USA, etcetera, the IO officer printed a letter stating that USCIS is unable to complete my case at this time and that my case is being continued until a final decision can be made. We steeled ourselves for more waiting because the letter also told us to allow for no less than 120 days before making a status inquiry on the case.

Fast forward to today, September 17. I check the USCIS website, enter my application number, and I get a message saying that my application to register permanent residence or to adjust status has been approved and the approval notice was mailed September 16.

Yes, I suppose that officially makes me a permanent resident! Woohoo!

Good luck to all you folks still waiting for your AOS to be over and done with. Patience is a virtue and the virtuous eventually triumph!

Interview tomorrow Sept 18 at 11am and honestly we really aren't prepared at all... We haven't even printed any photos (though we plan to do that very early in the morning) neither do we have much proof of our relationship other than copies of my credit cards account showing my spouse as an authorized user and copy of my life insurance policy listing as the beneficiary. Hmmm interesting to see how all these would unfold by tomorrow but oh well I'll try not to sweat it and just go with what we have. I believe they can always tell a real marriage when they see one and there's no second guessing about ours. Good luck to me...

Sounds like a Stokes interview occurred right there and then? The IO must have had doubts about the authenticity of your marriage for a Stokes interview to happen.

Just give them what they ask for and get it over with. Good luck!

Very pleased to announce that I have successfully completed my interview and was approved on the spot.. We only had four pictures, copy of life insurance policy and copy of the cable bills in our names as proof of relationship. Majority of the questions were directed to my spouse and the IO barely asked me anything. In 25mins we was done... God works in a mysterious way really. We never prepared for this at all and just went in there with the few things we had!i still retained my EAD card and I'm so excited bout it. Here ends this journey for me until 2016... Goodluck to everyone!!!
