I was just looking at the processing times. The National Benefits Center (MSC) does not show that it is processing any I-485's at all. It appears that they are only processed at the other service centers. It may be possible that all the NOA's come from MSC. Who knows for sure. Just hoping for the best. They all show an average of 4 months, except the TSC.

The National Benefits Center is where our applications are being processed before they are send to the local field offices ;) That is why there is no processing times shown for it.

So you would have to check the processing time for your local field office IF it is an error that the apps are being send to Nebraska.

Since there were couple people calling, though, I think it's almost certain that this error occured to all of us. But if you want to make sure, maybe just call USCIS? :)

Well, no matter where they are, time is passing by, so sooner or later all of us will receive the GC :)

Here are the processing times for your local office (Fort Smith)

I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status: February 14, 2014

So they are processing applications filed in February right now

I would call them and check.

Thanks 1kiki, I have called them and they just told me to wait for the notice after 30 days to schedule it. Sigh.

It depends how busy the USCIS local office is. Which USCIS local office is processing your I-485?

Thanks for the reply Celebes. My I-485 was transferred to Nebraska way back June and USCIS local office is in Honolulu.

Just had two texts and two emails with my EAD and AP approval. EAD is in card/document production and AP is in post decision activity. Really pleased that I can start work soon although feeling a bit let down as I requested an AP expedite so I can get back to the UK for a funeral on Monday. No hope of that now. At least I can work soon though!

Really weird as it's a Saturday, wasn't expecting to hear anything over a weekend.

Congratulations! I'm sorry to hear you're not going to get back to Blighty for the funeral.

Do you think your expedite played any part in the approval of your combo card?

Also can I ask what your NOA receipt date was please.

Thanks. I'm not sure whether the expedite played a part in the approval, everything about this process up until now has been delayed so I wasn't expecting the approval for another few weeks.

NOA receipt date (as per hard copies) is July 17th. Received the texts and emails on the 18th. The USCIS status checker showed the EAD and AP as having a receipt date of July 1st. Makes the whole thing a bit confusing really as I was never sure which date to go by.

I think the Nebraska Service Center transfer many people talk about, is an error in USCIS' system.

My status says Nebraska Service Center, too, but the NOA's are sent from the National Benefits Center in Missouri.

I am not sure, though. There have been people calling USCIS to find out whether their case is really in Nebraska and the customer service representative told them it's a mistake.

I hope it's not going to take over a year to get the GC, lol...

Good luck anyway!

Interesting.. We filed in July and my i-485 status also says Nebraska Service Center. All 3 of my NOA's are postmarked as having been sent from the NBC. I wonder what is going on, lol?!
