one option is to limit your applications to places that you can get to by walking, by bus, or by bicycle.

i used indeed.com a lot and also did some walk-ins, whenever i saw 'hiring' signs at stores.

I'll try it out!

Attended Bio metrics today is there anything else i can do other than wait?

Not really. If you have a reason to expedite your EAD, then you can try to go for that but otherwise all it is is a waiting game.

I just called our district's congressman's office and they told me that I have to wait at least 90 days from receipt of NOA before I can request for EAD expedite.

So sad. I already need to work so I can help my husband with the bills. :(

I also called my congressman last week and I have just got newsletter from Joe Garcia instead promoting his works and offers if someone wants to intern at his office this Fall. I just let it flow since I tried to expedite to see if it really works, lol.

I brought all my papers in one folder just in case. They will ask some questions on the form like SSN, etc. I did not remember mine so that's why I had to see my SSN card, lol. But they only asked my passport and biometric appointment letter. Good luck with the biometric.

Hello guys, I got this from the congressmen

Dear Leticia,

I have been on the phone with the National Benefits Center. What we need asap is a new privacy release filled out with your physical address (not the PO Box). Also, please note on the release where you want your mail sent (PO Box or Physical Address). The NBC will let me go this route versus you having to send them something directly. As soon as they get at I will find out the status of your case. From what I gather, they are looking to expedite so the sooner I get this the better.

Thanks and I look forward to your reply. I'm confused, does it mean I have to sign the papers to give him the authorization to check my case, or I need to send something else? I wanna answer this right because, he took more than 2 weeks to reply me. Thanks for anymore helping

yes, you need the privacy release form so he can look into your case. i signed the same thing for my congressman's office also. i would also go ahead and send whatever proof you have that will help your expedite - e.g. proof of job offer, proof of bills (rent or mortgage, utilities, etc) and if you haven't already, include a letter explaining why you should get the expedite.

Tnx tnx! Just finished my biometrics. All set!! Thank you thank you

unfortunately, no, it doesn't.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

sorry to hear your congressman's office hasn't been helpful...if it's after 90 days, it's no longer an expedite! if you have a job offer, i would try to approach a different congressman or senator's office.
