Wow, you were lucky. I had unpleasant experience in Kendall, Miami. And it took about 15 minutes to get my fingerprints done since they were not match for a few times and the lady had to redo again before they were finally match. I liked though my picture after she took it, lol. Much better than at the pharmacy passport photo booth for my AoS package.

Same thing happened to me. They had to keep on getting my fingers prints cause they would never match.

I didn't even see the picture but I can only imagine how awful it looks, they got me to part my short bangs on the side which is not a good look. I hope they'll use the pictures I sent with my AOS and not the one they took.

Oh and for people wondering about which picture goes where http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/280507-silly-question-but-what-picture-do-they-put-on-your-green-card/

It seems like your biometrics picture will be on your EAD and GC.

Great.

I wonder how soon I can get a state ID so I can just use that and hope that one will be decent.

Hello everyone!

I've noticed some of you are job hunting already while waiting for the AOS process. I was wondering what do you guys say to the employers if they ask you when can you start or regarding the legal status?

I am a June filer too who is done with the biometrics. I am planning to start my job hunting as well.

Thanks in advance for those who will give their insights.

i always brought my I-765 NOA1 with me to job interviews, and explained that i was in the process of gaining legal work authorization and did not need any sponsorship from the company. i gave an estimated start date of about a month's time. it was a rough guess on my part of how long expediting the EAD would take, and was more or less accurate, with just a bit of time to spare.

Yay!!! EAD card approved and in production as of TODAY!!! No expedite needed!! Wooooo hoooo!! Earlier than expected! So happy!! Oh! And AP approved as well :-).

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

one option is to limit your applications to places that you can get to by walking, by bus, or by bicycle.

i used indeed.com a lot and also did some walk-ins, whenever i saw 'hiring' signs at stores.
