Just faxed in proof of my emergent situation in connection to my I-765 expedite request. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.... Will update once I hear words back

nice! best of luck and hope the expedite is approved. what was your emergent situation, if you don't mind me asking? just curious, but if it is private or you prefer to keep it private, then just ignore me. :)

my expedite was approved based on the 'financial hardship' category, but USCIS never got around to asking me to fax in any proof, so i wrote to my congressman instead, who got things moving. i sent in our rent statement, utility bills, and and car insurance billing along with a letter and the privacy release forms. i think others have faxed in proof of expecting (which i am not, so that was not an option for me) like ultrasound scans, doctors' notes, and hospital bills.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

In your signature, it says you sent in AOS June 14. Why did it take more than a month for you to get the NOA1s?

june 27 to july 18 is still (although just barely) under a month :) USCIS says it can take up to a month to get the NOA1. it is mostly luck how quickly/slowly you get your acceptance notice.

My signature says AOS was sent in on 27th June, 2014. I have no idea why it took from then until July 18th for our NOAs to arrive. It was a frustrating wait though.

My husband and I went to my biometric appointment at USCIS office in Kendall, Miami, FL. After drive about 3 hours we were finally found the office. Bloody hell, people there were not nice and unpleasant. They were rude to my husband even he is the US citizen.

Based on Stats from VJ, DC office is one of the most backlogged/slowest office in the country.

okay well I put in the service request with the frontline CSR and selected financial hardship as well. 3 days later I got a mail from USCIS asking me to fax in proof of my financial hardship along with a copy of the letter they sent me. Well my emergent situation was my spouse is temporarily disabled due to a recent surgery and because of that is unable to work. Also I indicated that the SSDI benefit my spouse applied for was denied therefore we have no means of sustainability until we hear the status of our appeal which is a lengthy process altogether... that was it. I sent in the medical examination reports, Social Security denial letter etc. Now this evening I was able to speak to a Tier 2 supervisor at USCIS who told me that usually when they ask a person to fax in proof that there is a good chance of approval and they just ask for docs to verify accuracy. He also said that usually when an applicant puts in a request for expedite and they go over the reasons - if there's no merit to it, they decline the request straight up without requesting any proof. The only downside is that he said I will have to wait 30days for a response but I have read post on here from members who were approved like literally 3hrs-5days of putting in their request... I'm just hoping for the best but still I don't wanna raise my expectation cos USCIS is just unpredictable

Oh that's terrible to hear. I had a very smooth, easy, pleasant transaction for biometrics. I arrived on time, presented my biometrics appointment letter to the security guard, then he told me to show both of my hands palms up. After that, it was mostly a waiting game for my assigned number to be called.

My husband is in the military and works for government and he was amazed how the government employees behaved toward people who needs their assistance. I am happy you had a very nice experience, sis. Gladly we done less than an hour. I think USCIS office in Kendall was one of the busiest ones. People were packed there and we arrived 30 minutes earlier. And hey, keep me posted! :content: .

I am also in Pending Interview status (Its been like this for a week now). I filed all my package for AOS on June 13th. I haven't received my letter yet. My local office is Indianapolis, IN. I did a successful walk in on that office one week before my scheduled appointment. I was wondering if any June filers have already received their interview letters?

Nothing yet for us so far. We are also pending interview status which I suppose is good, no RFE so yay for that! We called USCIS today just to check on the EAD status and had them review the rest as well. Of course, we were told we could be scheduled in the next couple months to upwards of a year. Blah! The rep then said our processing center (Detroit) was only working on cases from DECEMBER at the present time!! Ugh... not exactly true though after looking into things further. (example: 1.) Last updated date was in May and 2.) Another Detroit AOS case that filed in June has interview sched for August) Either way, would love to get the EAD approved soon so we can start the job search :-) Woo Hooo!!

Can't wait to start seeing June AOS filers w/ interview dates!!! :dancing::clock::dancing:

Awaiting Oath Ceremony for Citizenship! Last step!
