Apple ID and moving to USA

Hi all, technical question. I have an iphone / mac and Apple ID. Now I would like to keep the same Apple ID. Do I just need to change my 'country' settings in iTunes, when I move to the usa and get an iphone over there?

Any other implications/complications anyone has experienced with moving over and apple products / ID?

That's what I did when I moved from Australia to here. Pretty straight forward really.

04/15/2014 - Filed I129-F

04/22/2014 - NOA 1 received (TSC)

08/11/2014 - Notice of transfer received (CSC)

09/18/2014 - NOA 2 received

11/12/2014 - Interview Date (approved)

12/01/2014 - US Arrival Date

12/10/2014 - Married

02/05/2014 - AOS Filed

02/28/2015 - Notified of Request for Initial Evidence

03/10/2015 - Sent Requested Evidence

04/03/2015 - EAD and Advanced Parole Approved

My husband says you will be changing iTunes stores when you change country settings. He maintains a UK id and an American id under different email addresses. An example is the Argos app does not show up in the American ITunes Store. If there are country specific apps you have purchased or want to download/update, they may not show when you change stores. A minor thing, but worth a thought.

Change the country, yes. But you may lose songs. My husband had some songs which were for UK only that wouldn't "convert" when he changed his country.

In order to change your country you will need to 'zero' your balance in your current account. Make sure you deplete it before you do the change. Also you MUST back up your library before you do the change. Immediately after you change the country to US, you can then restore your library and it will help you keep your music, movies and books.
