Though you could probably get by with just a photocopy, for my own peace of mind/just-in-case, I ordered an extra copy at £6. Probably unnecessary, but it's there if I ever need it in the next few months. And it is only £6.

This.

This is exactly what I did. The £6 extra was totally worth the peace of mind. It means I can take an original with me to the interview as well as submitting one to the NVC... And that's something that makes me feel much more comfortable, even though it's not a necessity.

Yeah, I guess White Bear needs to say what visa because I described K1 AND DCF and you are describing CR1 (mailing off documents to NVC).

You're right - I did some digging and it looks like a K1. Still, I always request how copies of anything regardless if there's a chance I won't get an original back as a "just-in-case" I need it again in the long run; that said this document's only ever going to be really needed for immigration purposes. Guess it's down to personal choice!

I meant K 1 Fiancée visa.

The other question...

I read that a beneficiary should provide the police report from all countries where she / he lived after age of sixteen (lived during the period which is more than 12 months).

Beneficiary had been living in the other country (before she moved to Britain) 9 years ago. So, should we get the police report from that country as well?

I am asking because it might be not such a straightforward process in the other countries. No, of course I understand that get police report should be quite easy, but (as I understand) it should be some official document with translation to English.

So, should we try to get that report too. Did anyone have this kind of puzzle?

Thank you guys...

Fill out your profile with the visa and fill out your timeline or people have trouble giving you a correct answer.

Was she over 16 while living in the mystery country? ......from all countries where she / he lived after age of sixteen
