May aswell just whack that Arsenal defence on here, where's Tony these days?

Don't knock The Donkey. He may not have been a great manager, but Pompey didn't hold AC Milan to a draw under Ol' Twitchy.

All of which goes to show that the Brits have a very different style of nicknames for their sporting heroes and villains.

It's really quite impressive he played the majority of the games in his career drunk and was still a beast haha

The back four of Lauren, Keown, Adams and Cole has to be the greatest back line ever assembled. Hell, you could put in Dicko and Nige and it is still the greatest back four. Hopefully we pick up a good right back this year and Kieran Gibbs makes some good progress and we'll be extremely solid again next year.

On Fabregas, as much as I love him, we don't need him. We have plenty of attacking midfielders. I want to see us pick up Schweinstegier. He's leaving Bayern and the asking price is a measly £10M for one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. And he's only 29! And another striker of course.

This is true, but I'd rather we take him than see him go to another EPL team. I'd be heartbroken. :(

Okay so, question. Who're you backing for the World Cup this year?

I've planned some activities for my guys in the office and we're doing a "best dressed desk contest", after having picked countries out of a hat... My desk drew America!

We have a world cup sweepstake at work. I got Iran  So I don't think I have much chance of winning :P

I think Brazil or Argentina, can see a lot of the European sides struggling.

The £35 million for Fab needs to go on a top quality striker. Also need a new right back.

Oh geez, I didn't know Barca was asking that much for him ... nvm then. :( Just don't want him in another London team or ManU! I wouldn't mind if he went to Liverpool bc most of my hubby's family supports them. haha.

Hubs and I chose 2 teams from every group to advance, but overall I'm going with defending champions, España! It'll be the last time I wear my David Villa national jersey with him actually playing since he'll be too old for the next one. *sigh*

Argentina look ominous. They would be the logical pick.

I'd like to see England's youngsters do well, just to shut the old moaners up with their This team's too young to get far, it's before their time". Grouchy old codgers, the press. All of 'em.

And Croatia are always good fun to watch. ;)

I know England have no chance so I don't care aslong as my accumulator comes in. I would of said Germany but as someone mentioned, I think all European teams will struggle.

Yeah, they definitely won't be making it out of the group stage.

I think we'll get out of the group stage if we pick players by form over reputation. We've got some very decent young players. Won't get past the last 8 though.
