Sorry to spam the thread, but I just noticed that today is my eighth anniversary of joining VJ. WOW! So much has changed in those 8 years. I quit my beloved job, moved across an ocean with a husband, worked at a think tank, moved across a country, lived in the 'burbs, broke up with my cheatin' husband for whom I'd moved continents and coasts, fell in love with a little black kitten who is now a big black cat that likes to box my ears at 6am, moved over the hill into LA, went off the deep end, had a series of terrible dates and half-relationships, quit being a consultant, was unemployed for six precarious months, met an amazing man who showed me that American men really are the bestest EVAR, went back into the legal field, fell in love with my Mr U, got in a car accident, steadily rebuilt my body and mind and heart, got truly bones-deep happy for the first time in my adult life, stopped shirking responsibility, went back to law school and grew the eff up.

And I posted a lot on VJ. That too.

Bah! <_<

Short-timer!

Congratulations!

In the coffee shop in my wife's hometown sucking up the wifi.

BTW the coffee shop is also a KTV and amazingly at 11:15 on a Tuesday morning people are "signing" Karaoke.

It's 6 below zero, the wind is howling, the heat is running so much that I can smell my money burning and we've had 7 feet of snow the past three weeks. I'm getting tired of this. If Marvin was here now he'd change his mind about moving to NE.

Sympathies. If I never see another snowflake, I won't care. Quite enough of that in younger years, thank you.

When I lived in North Carolina, the mere mention of one potential snowflake sent the natives rushing to the supermarkets to clear the shelves of milk and bread and Spam.

Its been snowing all day. They're reporting 9 inches here now. Can't confirm as I'm stuck at work.

It's been entirely too hot here over the weekend. I think it was near 90 on Saturday. Today's much better, about 72 and sunny. Unfortunately I'm spending the day writing flashcards for my final on Wednesday.

As an update, I'm still waiting on that goddamn report from WES! I have to wait until tomorrow to call, but it's two weeks tomorrow since I called to follow up, and was told a new copy was forthcoming. I'm cutting things very close to the bone now, and it's their f-ing fault.

Make that over 8 feet in 3 weeks now Spooks. I hoisted the white flag in the front yard, but no one can see it with all this snow.

Hey mass boys, we just got 4-5 inches of snow and we're FREAKING OUT!!!!

I talked to my Aunt in TN yesterday morning, she said the whole state is freaking out.
