What's up with the new sock puppets?

My guess is that there was some deal made in their sooper-sekret FB group to see what could be gotten away with. I don't know why VJ doesn't do what so many other boards do -- you can't post in the off topic sections until you post X number of posts in the more substantive areas. I mean, even my Volvo forum has this as a function. Hive OT and CE&HST into its own sub-section away from the regionals, Moving Here, Finding Work, etc., and restrict access. Doesn't need to have a separate TOS, or allow less "family-friendly" language/topics.

Frankly, I'm perplexed how such obvious sock puppets are allowed to remain. They come in, post only in one area, know all the dynamics of the older members, call members by former usernames, use identical tropes they used before, and yet... nothing? It doesn't take the Brains Trust to know what's happening.

ya, just another demographic attribute on the site owner, this 'lack of' configurable stuff on this here site. gadzooks and golly-gee-whillikers ! IP-Board is configurable to get what you've described.
