Hey beauty queens/losers! Any plans for Thanksgiving? I will spend mine either trying to win the VJ C Queen pageant, or having turkey and kimchi at Mr U's cousin's downtown. Or both!

We are planning to go to Canada to visit wifeys family, but we cross the border in Buffalo/Niagra so it may not happen if the weather doesn't get any better there. now they're saying rain and warm weather which will cause flooding from all the snow they've gotten. I've got a back up bird in the freezer if we end up staying home.

Going down to the Sunshine state to drink with my old man and my step monster. Why don't ya'll come along and we can stop by and hassle MBD!!!

Sounds like a plan! I'm eager to avoid yet another round of "why don't you two just get married already?" Why is it every married person wants happily unmarried couples to get hitched? Is it like smokers who try to cajole ex-smokers into having just one cig when you're having a few adult beverages -- remember what this was like? How fun it was, how cool it was? And then you smoke one which becomes ten and the next morning you think: what have I done?

I want to avoid waking up in the morning married because what the hell, for old times' sake.

Sounds like Chinese parents. My parents always told me to avoid it if possible, like dinner checks and potholes. Just steer clear and you make it home happy.

Some months ago, I came home, and this dialogue ensued:

Mrs. T-B.: I bought you cheap.
T-B.: What did you say?
Mrs. T-B.: I bought you cheap.
T-B.: You bought me cheap? What the dickens does THAT mean? I'm not that cheap. And don't let Immigration hear you say that.
Mrs. T-B.: Cheap, CHEAP! I bought you CHEAP!

Further investigation revealed that she had gone to the store and bought me a bag of potato cheaps. :bonk:
