Saturday we mostly recovered from the redeye flight. We had arrived in a rainstorm, which was actually fantastic as 1) we weren't driving and 2) we hadn't seen rain in yonks. Sunday we had lunch with my parents and went to the British Art museum for an exhibit on Victorian sculpture at the time of the Crystal Palace exhibition, which was more interesting than it sounds. Yesterday we drove with my parents up to Cornwall Bridge, as Mr U had never been through a covered bridge before. We mooched around Litchfield County for a while, stopping at a winery in Goshen for a tasting. Mr U bought six bottles of CT wine, thus attesting to his manly bravery. Last night we had scrod, so that itch has been scratched for a while.

Today, we're going to drive around on our own, maybe meet up with an old school pal of mine near Woodbury. Wednesday is the big drive north, and Thursday I'll be VT. I will report back on the state of taxi transport accordingly.
