So, my stupid coffee cup with the click up/down top broke again today. This is the second time as the first time I got OXO to replace it but this time i feel like I've gotten my use out of it. Now comes the fun part....... the new one. Last one held 2 cups but I need (need  ) 4 cups of coffee to be a human. Usually I make the first cup (2 cups technically) for the ride to work and then refill with the disgusting terrible swill they have at work that makes me want to punch myself in the face. What I'd like to do is buy a decent 4 cup mug/cup that travels well and keeps the coffee warm. Any suggestions?

And yes I realize you fancy pants probably use those Keurig thingies but I'm a grind and brew kinda guy, ya heard?

I have that same style coffee cup with the click up/down button. Is yours chrome and black by any chance? I usually drink the travel mug on my way in, (I have about a 30 min commute), then I have a regular glass mug at work. I am also a bit old fashioned in that I use a Cuisinart coffee maker that I need to put the grinds and water in. I buy the big container of Maxwell House or Folgers at the big box store for about $12. I also use the same pot of coffee until it's gone, usually 2 or 3 days, lol. Wifey uses the Keurig and I buy her the Tim Hortons K-cups off Amazon.com. She laughs at me when she sees me drinking 3 day old coffee.

My cup is the same, just less the handle.

Three days though Teddy? Gross, how does that even work? Do you just leave it in the pot and keep reheating it?

Yes, it just sits in the pot. During the summer I usually drink ice coffee, so no reheat. But during the winter I'll pour the coffee into a glass mug, pop it in the microwave for 1 min and then pour into my travel mug. My wife says the same thing, gross. I drink my coffee black with no sugar, so I'm not really going for flavor, lol.

Mave-o, if you have any contact with the former postmaster, and wouldn't mind exercising it, would you mind to relay a request for his return. I don't think anyone can deny the void that exists in his absense.

I don't directly, but I know people who do. I may be in a Facebook group with him still -- I'll check. He is missed. :(

Speaking of former VJers, I know one who was encouraged to rejoin by another mod. Apparently his transgressions are not considered so great these days. She told him to contact Ewok, but Ewok hasn't replied yet. Now that you are a mod, is there any way to remind the Captain gently to consider his request?

I still use the one I got from Starbucks, more than 10 years ago. Still deals tight, keeps hot drinks hot for over 3 hours ( when I'm slammed with work and forget to drink) and nothing is even a smidge loose. Edited by Pooky

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

I second this. It would be nice to have Bill back here posting.
