Just picked the last of my veggies yesterday. Growing season is officially over here. It was a pretty good year even though we had some disease problems.

Homework tonight and tomorrow, as always. :-/ Hope to see The Martian on Sunday, but even more than that I hope to have a decent night of sleep. It's been stiflingly hot almost every night for a month. I was up at 2.30am looking for last minute deals on a hotel room I could crash in tonight so I could take advantage of air conditioning. Probably another 3 weeks of summer. :dead: Summer here really doesn't kick off until mid-July or later, and then we get it through October.

I listened to the Martian on audiobook. Fantastic. I have high hopes for the movie.

Happy Friday Losers! What's up for the weekend?

I've got a bunch of yard work planned, gonna dig up all the annuals and cut back the perennials for winter. Also have two bushes to transplant. And we have our usual Sat date night!

I have a test tomorrow afternoon. :-/ But before that Mr U and I are going to watch the Memphis/Ole Miss game (go Tigers!). Sunday we're going to see Crimson Peak because I love me some Gothic horror nonsense, and go for a walk in Griffith Park if the weather isn't terrible (we're actually going to have some rain, for a change).

Ugh, that test. :dead: I think I got most of it, but I got bogged down halfway through and ended up with only 9 minutes to write about venue. On the other hand, Mr U and I spent the morning driving around listening to a livestream of the Memphis-Ole Miss game, after we stopped for breakfast burritos and chilaquiles. We got to hear Ole Miss's posterior handed to them, and one of my friends texted me to say, "Okay, you were right and I was wrong about Memphis." :D I love being right about yet another thing.
