"Morally suspect?" That is an insult to all men, women and children who have ever been raped or molested to characterize the abuser as being morally suspect instead of a soulless monster.

Apparently you are offering money if you are willing to constantly pay and support "morally suspect" people. Go and spend it on a charity. Michael Jackson don't need it.

Where did you get the idea that I said you were ruining your life? All I have suggested is that it is niave (in the true sense, not as an insult) to believe that you can run your life ensuring that people you suspect of being morally bankrupt don't benefit from the things you choose to spend your money on. Limiting your art to the enjoyment of art produced by the morally pure limits your experience of life. You may choose to do that, although as I said I am not sure exactly sure how you go about even if you wanted to although judging people by hearsay and limited knowledge is one option.

Art is not candy by the way, candy is not unique. If I had the choice of Beethoven the morally pure or Beethoven the morally bankrupt I might choose the former, although I might not. Experiencing art does not mean that I approve of the morality of the artist, it means I recognize something that is intrinsically beautiful no matter who created it. What these people do in their private lives should of course be regulated by current laws on the statute books, and they should, if found guilty of transgressing them be punished accordingly. If they continue to produce artistically brilliant work from the confines of the jail cell, as did Oscar Wilde, I will continue to appreciate it. That appreciation does not mean that I approve of or condone any action that may have led to that person ending up in jail. It simply means that I choose to enrich my life with art in all its guises.
