If they were wearing uniforms, this ####### wouldn't be happening.

+1 for uniforms

+1 for year-round schooling

+1 for uniforms.

At least I don't have to think about what to wear to school everyday.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Agreed. So many problems could be solved by the switch to uniforms.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Because of this very statement. In a professional field it should be kept just that, professional. The courts wouldn't like it if a male lawyer showed up in jersey shorts.

And don't worry about the scream thing. It was more like you were raising your voice at me. :):dancing:

But a woman going into work in a v-neck or a business suit jacket with a camisole underneath (which are both very common neckline types for women in strong professional business environments) isn't dressing unprofessionally. I invite you to take a look at style guides for professional women.

I would never call any of the following ladies unprofessional looking, and yet they are showing, whilst wearing formal business attire, very nearly as much skin as the young lady in the OP. And I can't find the cute ruffled tops that I see ladies wearing as part of their summer business attire that show a little more skin, but I assure you they exist and these ladies look very professional, powerful, cute and modest.

Business-Dress-Female.jpgwoman-in-business-suit.jpg438.jpg (I do think that that last would look better with long sleeves, but I'm a bit prejudiced because it's a cool climate here much of the year and I can't imagine my top layer not having long sleeves)

I definitely agree, Novembro, that it could use sleeve. But if you add sleeves, I see loads of lovely lady lawyers and paralegals every day who wear basically that exact outfit.

Pretty standard business dress. Rotate in a few pencil skirts and you're gold!

Ok, you and I have a communication problem we need to work on.

I agree with what you are saying in the above post and for you and I it makes sense. I'm not sure how old you are but I'm 45 and heavily tattooed. Both my kids have tattoos and for the younger generation it's way more acceptable to show their ink. In my opinion editing this young lady's year book picture (that her family paid for, I'm sure) sends the message that it's not OK to be who she is. I think the social values of today are what they are and girls can have tattoos and show them when they want.

...and I like you more now that I know you have tattoos...

Ok. I am all about communication.

I am in my 30s. I understand there may have been some "rule bending" and "personal violations" when they edited the yearbook. I am not cheering on what they did, but I just merely understand why. Although her parents paid for the year book, the students still represent the school. Am I right at least on this part?

I understand young people are a lot more liberal about tattoos, I am as well. I just think it is better to put them in spots were you can still be professional if you have to be in a business world. Maybe the younger generation will change this and it will be ok to wear short skirts with a tiger going down your leg to JP Morgan. But until then, we still need to teach our babies to keep it classy.

 lol. I love my back out shirts during the summer. I have an open flower in the lower back part of my back, with blue wind swirling around it, with leaves blowing away on both sides of my hips. :content:

Agreed. So many problems could be solved by the switch to uniforms.

I went to an all girls high school for a year - we had to wear skirts in seasonal colors (plaid in the winter, pastels in the spring). They were very short skirts. I felt terribly badly for the boys in town and men who worked at the school.

Problem not solved.

I'm pretty sure that will be offensive to someone, so I'm reporting it just to be safe. Nothing personal.

Damn iPad, no smilies!

I am offended and therefore I reported you. In addition you made me self-conscious and I have self-reported.

These are nice. Now if you throw a tattoo across their chest that says "hey big daddy" "hot n ready" or "my man likes it" it will ruin the look.
