Divorced After Winning The Dv Lottery

On the website where the DS-260 form is completed, it states the following:

“Before we can process your Diversity Visa application, each applicant in your case must complete Form DS-260”

I’m the PRINCIPAL applicant, and I’ve completed the form. There is another applicant listed: SPOUSE.

When I entered the Diversity Visa Lottery I was still married. Unfortunately since then have been divorced, and the other applicant on my case (SPOUSE) will not be accompanying me. How would I go about removing the additional applicant as not to delay the process of my Diversity Visa application?

I've emailed the KCC, but have not heard back from them yet...

Is there anyone on this forum that might know more about this?

Kind regards

Case number: 2015AF00077xxx

Entry Checked: 2 May 2014

Form DS-260 completed: 28 May 2014

Estimated interview date: Aug/Sept 2015

Estimated arrival in the USA: Dec 2015

Don't fill his form. At your interview, you can explain the change in status.

Hi sumranbi

Thanks for the reply. The problem is that an interview will not be scheduled untill all the applicants under my case number completed the DS-260 form, as is mentioned on the website.

Hi,

I had the same problem, but it was a deceased spouse. The instructions are not correct, fill out your form only and submit. You will receive a confirmation. Don't fill out the divorced spouses details.

Almost instantly via email

Hi Jakartadream

I completed my form more than a week ago, but did not receive any confirmation email, although the website did display a confirmation page that I saved.

From what I understand, I will only be notified via email once my case number becomes current, and that will only be next year Aug or Sept.

I'm also still waiting for a reply from the KCC after I've emailed them regarding my situation... no reply yet... :(

The fact that you went through a similar situation does encourage me that this should not be a problem :)
