Has anyone encountered having a sealed record and was found inadmissable due to the crime that has been sealed? My husband had his interview this week and they told him he needed an I 601 waiver for a CIMT it was sealed in 2006. I have the original sealed copy of the sealed order but do not have certified copies of police records although I do have copies of them. Does anyone know if I send the original sealed copy of sealed order and copies of the police records will they accept them since the police departmart no longer has the records? I was just wondering as I was reading the I 601 form it said they need certified copies of police records and will not accept copies. Thanks for any advice.

Sealed records are not sealed where homeland security is concerned

just like suspended sentences, they weigh the process Just as if one had

got the time....now if the person have a sealed Juvi record they'll request

it but it will not affect the persons immigration benefit because they were

under 18 yrs, If U need to file I 601 get a waiver atty as its not just a form

to be filled in.
