Hi Guys,

I received the letter form National Visa Centre (NVC) that they have sent my documents to US embassy (London). They recommended me to fill DS 160 form online - what I done yesterday.

After I completed DS 160 form there was a massage in the website that most visa applicants must schedule the visa interview.

So, should I schedule my interview myself? Or I need to wait the letter form embassy with interview dates?

I am sorry if this question was discussed earlier, a haven't found this information.

Thank you so much.

They organise it for you, i.e. send you a date and time for the interview to take place. However you have to have completed the Notification of Readiness form (http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/notification_of_applicant_readiness_form.html) and scheduled a medical.

Read this London K-1 step-by-step guide. It will help you learn the process. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

The message is to be ignored. Most who fill out DS-160 are getting other short term visas like tourist or student. Those do schedule their own interview times in London because their visa requires no further documentation or processing. As a K1, your interview date will be decided by London. Read the guide to know the steps you go through before you get a date.
