(KMOV.com) – A woman says she was kicked off the dance floor at a St. Louis arts festival because she is white.

Susan Stone said she was dancing at the African Arts Festival in Forest Park when an event staffer asked to her to stop, then made made a racist remark.

“He tells me 'you can't be doing this here this is an African American event you can't be at this event you're not black,'” Stone said. “I feel angry because they're missing out on the beauty of everything we're all supposed to get along together that's what God says.”

Yeah. I remember going to a club in Brixton, London with a friend many years ago. After the DJ stopped, the remaining people went to the second floor of the building and started to sing Negro spiritual songs. My white friend joined in , but I could feel the animosity so didn't . The leader called me over, praised me, and told me to get my friend out of their ASAP , before an incident happened.

I guess I'm different. If a white person wants to join in and is respectful, I have no issues with it. And vice versa for a black person who wants to go to an Irish Culture event. If they're Irish or have a passion for it, who has the right to judge them?

It's like that Sprite Step off controversy about 4 years ago. Usually the competition is all black, but that year, an all white Sorority joined and competed. They beat the brakes off everyone else. Yet, they had to share first place with another black Sorority. I felt that wasn't right. They did what black people have been doing decades before when they weren't allowed into certain things, make sure you knock them flat on their bottom.

Whoever told her it was due to race is just stupid. From the videos it looks like she is an attention hugger that can't dance.

Edit. That should be whoever not however.

Yeah . That is what my friend was accused of in Brixton. It wasn't true, she was drunk, but sympathised with the Jamaican population there at the time. So maybe her actions weren't so good, but her heart was in the right place.

Most whities can't dance.

That's what I thought. It looks like she was trying to disrupt things, rather than actually contribute.

I think it's a matter of what you call dancing. Line stepping and other forms of dance require skill. If you want something bad enough, you can do it.

I never said she couldn't dance with the crowd. I don't care about that. I said whoever told her it was due to race was stupid.

And then I proceeded to give my personal opinion of the dancing. This only.

the most whites can't dance is B.S. and I had to capitalize this because I see plenty who can. I see more white girls in hip hop and Spanish videos getting down than blacks.

It's cool. I figured that's who you were talking about.

Yeap, I so totally agree. The days of people saying most white people can't dance is over. The younger generations love to dance and they have a lot of friends from different racial back grounds and they love to dance.

The hip hop work out class and zumba class were I work is filled with women. The majority white and they be getting down.
