Hi all,

after marriage my wife is living with me, almost 2 years passed. Now she is going America for two months, return in August to Pakistan. Shall we inform USCIS for change of address or not? and in form I-864 we shall give address of America or Pakistan. Because we are in the process of getting case number from NVC, what you guys recommend, before we gave Pakistan address and I guess she still give Pakistan address as she is settle in Pakistan.

First of all get your email addresses enrolled at nvc by sending an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov right now. You should write the Uscis receipt for ur case with applicants name, dob and email aswell petitioners all info. Also call them and get ur email enrolled once u get a case number .

Secondly for processing nvc will send u instructions by email u have to send fill choice of agent form ds-261 online where u can either appoint an agent or have urself as for the future correspondence by mail. Pls note they send everything niwdays by email so it dsnt really matter abt the mailing address. You have to send all the documents by mail/fedex from pakistan

I dont know much about affadavit of support i-864. as long i know ur sponsor means ur wife should hve enough income and tax returns for last 3 yrs..if she isnt employed then u might need a joint sponsor to support the affadavit that u will not be a public charge and ur petitioner can take care of u with her income.. u need to read more about joint sponsor..it could be father mother bros or any friend willing to do that for uguys

i hope anyone with that knowledge could explain you more with ur situation

Read the I-864 instructions. If the US Citizen Petitioner has no income, you will need a qualified "joint sponsor" or lots of cash of your own, or there will be no visa.

Email Address is so convienent My Husband & I we both provided NVC with our Email Addresses. It super quick every time they wanted anything from us we replied to it quickly as we can. Rather then waiting for the Darn mail which can take 7- 10 business days within U.S. International who knows. So yes definitely getting yourself enrolled in emailing process would be priority. Good Luck.
