HOLA A TODOS!

I would like to share some information in case someone goes through the same….

few days ago i was a little stressed waiting for the embassy to contact to me sending the package 3…it was taking so long so yesterday i emailed them asking how our case was, if they already received our case basically…(i already submitted the ds-160).

Hours after i get an email from the embassy telling me that they are waiting for me to submit the rest of the documents of the package 3!!! and they emailed me the "package 3". So i never got in my mail the package 3 notification….thanks god i emailed the embassy…otherwise time would be passing by and they would be waiting forever.

Im sending package three as soon as i get the affidavit from my fiancé. So just letting everyone know that mail actually get lots and can screw everything...

:) good luck!

My case hasn't been updated since June 16 and that was just to change Alien fiancée number. I'm impatiently waiting for our NOA2 to arrive. Any other June filers with the TSC receive theirs yet?

Since you're being processed at TSC, I wouldn't expect to receive an NOA2 until November or December.

With March and April TSC petitions being forwarded to CSC it'll speed up the process at TSC.

Only time will tell how much quicker petitions will be processed at TSC.

Congrats! have you received your interview date in package 3? we got our noa2 hardcopu august 2nd and we know our case is forwaded to spain (july 15th it was sent) but still no news from the embassy...

Thank you! :)

Well, in this package they said nothing about the interview date. In this package I received a checklist about what I need to bring to my interview and information papers about the I-134, about the medical exam, and about the police certificate. And of course they sent me the medical & vaccination exam sheets that I will need to bring to my medical exam.

I can only shedule the interview once I have all the required documents gathered (the translated birth certificate & police certificate, I-134 & the proofs, etc.) and have filed DS-160 online.

Good luck on your journey! (F)

below is what it says officially but I believe you can complete it as soon as you get the NOA2, hopefully someone who has done it already will chime in here

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html

The Second Step: Applying for a Visa

The NVC will mail you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiance(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the intervew.

Eligible children of K-1 visa applicants may apply for K-2 visas. Separate applications must be submitted for each K visa applicant, and each K visa applicant must pay the visa application fee.

Required Documentation

You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview:

  • Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-4 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your intervew.

I see you're still waiting for NOA2, you don't have to worry about DS-160 for the moment. ;)

After your I-129F is approved (means you get NOA2), your case will be sent to National Visa Center (NVC) and from there it will be forwarded to the U.S. Embassy to the beneficiary's country (Thailand). They will contact the beneficiary when they receive the case and include a list of the required documents to bring to the interview: form I-134 and its proof, beneficiary's birth certificate & police certificate both translated to English, proof of ongoing relationship, and the medical sheets (the beneficiary has to attend a medical exam that occurs before the interview and then bring the filled out sheets to the interview).

The DS-160 is an online form for the beneficiary to fill out, it's called Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. It's basically giving biographical data and sheduling an interview date at the given U.S. Embassy. It's advised to fill out DS-160 after all the required documents for the interview are gathered together (except the medical sheets, since people put the date of the medical exam usually pretty close to the interview date).

The DS-160: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

More info about DS-160 worthy to check out:

Hope this helps, I tried my best to explain how it goes :)

Wishing you all the best! (F)

And we are still patiently waiting for our NOA2 (after sending back the RFE response, ofcourse) while most of the June filers are almost done with their interview. Anyone else who might be in a similar situation?
