The times are even different for similarly situated applicants in Manila. Most go 2 to 3 weeks, but one went 6 weeks, one went 8 weeks, one got it in 8 days and one got it in 3 days. Random chance? Some difference the embassy found and is keeping a secret? They will never tell us.

Yes I agree, that I am in wrong forum. Because I thought the process is similar at all consulates but now I know that it varies from consulate to consulate. For example Juarez Mexico has all different. Even the I-601 are accepted directly at Juarez consulate. No other US consulate accepts waivers anymore, they all go to LOCKBOX in PHOENIX.

What I was tryin to convey in my first post that applicants who are made to wait for months, they are often notified with a 221(g) notice.

Not always is a 221g issued with those that end up waiting months. If the embassy sees something in the file that raises concerns during the review after the interview that will result in delays without the issuance of a 221g.

Each embassy has their own process.

OK so now that we have a status of ISSUED!!

Does Les get an email telling him when it will be couriered?

or how many more days do we wait for the delivery process to kick in???

IT says:

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received your passport in more than

10 days after your interview, please contact the Embassy call center at (02) 982-5555

and (02) 902-8930, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to track the

delivery of your passport.

Doesn't he get an option to pick it up at MOA also if he wants to??

Les/you gave instructions when the form was completed online for setting up the interview as to delivery, then at the interview at the last window you have one last chance to change deliver instructions. So whatever was setup at either of those times is how the visa will be delivered.

Wow that is great. I figured you were at most a day behind me since we were running on parallel tracks from interview day; Congratulations to both of you.

BTW you can go to ustraveldocs, the website you used to sign up for the interview, to see when the passport makes it out the door and into the hands of 2Go.

No email. If he arranged for pickup a 2Go branch, they will either text or call him on the number when it's ready for pickup. You can also go to the 2go website and track using your case number.

You are giving bad information. passports are not returned when issued a 221g.

No No NO - that's the case in many other IV Units across the world.

Sure - this is a PI topic and the poster interviewed in New Delhi INDIA - and is trying to generalize what happens THERE to say it happens in the PI - but you know and I know it's 2 different beasties.

Hank,

Where do you get your UID number? that is a new one for me.....

Thanks,

Tricia

you no what never mind I remember where I saw that before! thanks!

A note to anyone needing it ;)

IT'S IN YOUR PROFILE in the ustraveldocs site - in the interview section.... kinda hard to get to - but once you see your interview 'thing' - click it - UID is shown below.

It's also in the upper right hand corner after you log in...

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

From what I know -

the next stage after issuance

is the generation of the visa packet -

then the visa packet is put into the queue for delivery into the mailroom.

still takes some time.

queues abound - keep at it !

Tricia

are they still making the beneficiary fill out the 2GO form on interview day?

if yes - the 2GO receipt # was there - for a brief moment in time.

The ustraveldocs site is best for knowing when the visa has actually left the post and is with 2GO.

I would start with the UID # then try the MNL# if you needed
