You didn't read what happened with them with the CENOMAR that had been issued? You would be lining up for a turn at kicking butt if you had.

Hi Tbishop, if you were in our shoes you probably kick their butt too. But my fiancée and I decided to be diplomatic in dealing with them (NSO) since the ball is in their court.

Tricia, this means they are working on it. You and I have the same date, so that tells us they moved the pile to someone's desk and he or she is processing them. I got exactly the same CEAC result as of now.

As I understand it, CEAC should go back to READY and then AP again as the next person gets it, then another READY and then ISSUED.

I have heard of cases jumping steps, or even two or more steps, but I am not about to bet the farm that either of us will have such luck. Chances are we will see the rest of the progression. How long each step will take is anybody's guess.

And then there is alway the risk that someone along the line will perceive some sort of issue

So let's go one day at a time on this.

Congratulations that it updated. I know the agony of waiting and totally understand the disappointment. I hope it goes fast for you and your fiancee. When it was in AP for us, it never went back to ready, it was issued after that. God bless!

I hope ours goes as easily as yours does, but hard as we ttry, we can see no rhyme or reason as to why some go some way and some go other ways. All we can do is average everyone else out and use it for educated guesses.

At least they began to work on it. Much better than when the file was just a dust colector.

Thank you for your well wishes.

Hi everyone,

I was interviewed for immigrant visa on 16 May 2014 at US Embassy New Delhi.

After the interview I checked the status on CEAC website it shown as "Administrative Processing" until May 30, 2014

On May 30 it changed to "READY" under it in the explaination box it says my case is ready for interview.

On Jund 2nd the status remained same but the "status update date" changed to June 2nd, 2014.

It's kind of strange, I already appeared for interview.

Do I need to re-schedule for 2nd Interview.

What should I do? Is something went wrong in my case?

You are at a different embassy. Each one runs at a different speed. The normal sequence post interview is Ready > Administrative Processing > Ready > Administrative Processing > Ready > Issued

But sometimes those steps happen very quickly, and sometimes they jump over steps. There is no rhyme or reason as to why these works the way they do. Some are fast, some are slow. One here at Manila got issued in 3 days and one took 2 months.. As hard as we try to find a pattern, we don't.

Sometimes you get two or more Readys in a row. Seems every time someone touches the file, it generates another Ready.

You do not need a second interview and probably never will. Don't confuse Ready with Ready for interview. Not the same. If they want you back for another interview, they will advise you. Does not usually happen.

You should look for posts for those interviewig in India to get a better idea of how long it takes there. Just bear in mind the chaotic nature of how long each one takes so use the timees you find there as a reasonabe idea only, not as a definitive guide as to how long yours will be.

Good luck to you
