I know what you meant NB by your statement. However, they are educating you -- it was the context. Such context has been used to demean and/or to imply condescension.

Hope that helps.

So I guess a Kenyan is way off limits

I knew a guy that got a map of the world tattooed on his back minus Africa because he "refused to recognize it". And before you guys chaulk that up to being a Kentuckian, note the guy was Canadian. He also smoked cigars and blew the smoke in everyone's face. Like, swisher sweet cigars. Classy yo.

Maybe you might want to throw guy, man, girl, woman, or child, etc., behind that.

"The documents state he then used a racial epithet to refer to the young man when he asked his daughter if she wanted the teen as her dance partner. "Are you serious?" Aranza asked her."

I say that constitutes a problem with the kids color, wouldn't you? Yes, Mr. Aranza would've earned a much deserved beat down from many fathers/mothers -- black or otherwise.

Not really. When I am mad, I can call a woman a ##### or a ####, and I am a feminist. When you want to hurt someone, you hurl at them everything you got, including racial slurs.

I find it problematic that a person deserves a beating because of something they said (aka called them by that name which they themselves call each other), but not because he ###### whipped a girl.

You must have a private recording of this kid referring to himself and others by this word.

And along with this recording, you have all the other millions of "themselves" referring to themselves by this said "name."

Please do share with us. We would love to hear this recording. You will be proving a very controversial point.

No excuse for it. I've gotten plenty mad at folks, to the point of rage, yet I've never called them a racial slur.

Do me a favor. Would you show me in the article where this young man referred himself as a racial epithet? What did the father call him? Unless I missed something, there wasn't a description of what word he used.

And FFS, stop generalizing all black people. Not every black person gangs up on people or refers to themselves as a racial slur.

I love how it's assumed we all call each other racial slurs. I must have missed that at my last black folks meeting.

Never heard a hip hop song I take it? Never seen two young black men interacting? The type with three layers of boxers out in sight, not the Neil Degrasse Tyson type, obviously.
