I have a question not related to topic but to Japan. My story short...im romanian, previously married to a japanese national but divorced, two kids. My husband (current and last :luv: ) is american. I still live in Japan. We got married here, in Japan. We lived together until last week...my husband was here on a tourist visa, for 6 months. We went to Thailand on vacation before his first 90 days expired and came back here and he got another 90 days. We tried to apply for a visa for him here, the plan was to wait for my US visa together. We filed the I 130 in august, last year. Anyway...he was denied the japan visa because I hadn't registered my marriage in ROMANIA!!! Honestly, i had no idea i would ever need romanian papers living in japan.

My question...that damn romanian document will be needed for my US visa? Does the embassy in Japan accept ONLY the japanese document which is not really a konin todoke because we are both foreigners. The only document i can get to show our marriage is a paper stating our names and date we got married, basically. No family registry for foreigners...

Sorry this got long and thanks for any advice...
