Hello,

Quick question please. May be somebody will have answer for me.

On May 16th, USCIS approved my I-129F Petition and it was then sent to NVC. I have not heard anything from NVC yet. I am reading on VJ that sometimes NVC mails the package to the designated US Embassy overseas before the petitioner receives the notice. So, I want to know what would be my best option. Go ahead and call NVC, wait or what?

Thank you all.

You should wait at least one more week and then start calling NVC to find out your case #,after that they will forward your docs to the embassy! But you need to wait some time, while they give you case #!

ROC -"CSC"

Package sent: 07/31/17

You can start calling NVC every day. Sometimes you will get your case number quickly, other times it will take a while. My NOA2 was April 21, but I just received my case number yesterday--5 weeks after approval. Just be patient if it takes a while, because it will come. Don't worry about calling too much, I've called NVC every day for the last 4 weeks to get my case number.

My I-129f was approved feb 4 by USCIS and valid till June 4th. Until now NVC has no record of my case. Been calling NVC 3 times a week. I went to the USCIS office yesterday and all they could say is its approved and out of their hands.

What's going on? Any one have an idea?

Thank you so much for all your replies. I have done that, I emailed IVMANILAREPLIES.STATE.GOV. They will look into the case and will give info by June 19th. By the the approval validity date has past. Will it matter then? Will I have to file anew application again? I have also files a complaint to CISOMBUDSMAN like the immigration officer told me. Cause my NOA1 has not been sent to NVC.

Now that it has been two weeks and I have not heard from NVC yet, today I started calling NVC phone line (number they have on their web site). It keeps showing that they are busy. Any idea?

I want to make sure I get my paperwork together before NVC directs the case to the US embassy overseas.

Thanks everybody for your input.
