Hi everybody!

Before I introduce myself, I would like to thanks the creators of this website and also all contributors. This website and the forums are a time and life saving, so A HUGE thank you!

I am in Belgium (French part) and my fiancé is in Cleveland, Ohio. We met in Second Life about 4 years ago now.

After a while, we discovered that we had more than that "game" in comon and we decided to have video calls on Skype. Since then, we can spend hours and hours talking and laughing together on Skype.

In mid 2012, we decided to plan to spend a full month together, to see how it could work between us. We wanted to take our time because it's not easy to move from a "virtual life" to a "real life". And we didn't wanted to make any mistakes or fail. We set a date, next June, to meet in real, and see...

From June 1st 2013 to June 30th 2013, I went to Cleveland and spent the month with David. That was a wonderful month really! That was also my first time in the USA.

It was very hard to say goodbye in the airport really... But you all know that ;)

As soon as we get separated, we miss each other horribly, but there was no real possibilities at that time for Gay couples to marry... Then, after July 2013, it was possible :)

So around October 2013, we decided it was time to live together and we will marry!

I started to read many website and found this one! After a lot of reading, we decided to gather all needed documents in December 2013 and we sent the I-129F petition on January 27 2014. You can read the rest in my timeline for more informations.

I received my packet 3 today and I would like to contribute by updating what is send in packet 3 (from Us embassy in Belgium) but I do not know yet where to do that on the website.

Also, I read that some same sex couple had RFE because they did not stated in wich State (that allow same sex fiancés to marry) they intend to marry. We didn't gave USCIS this information (Texas Service Center) and we didn't get any RFE.

I am still confused with the documents asked by the embassy in Belgium, so I will try to contact Belgians that had their interview done.

Thank you again evertbody!

Welcome to VJ and good luck at the interview :)

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
