My mother got her GC based on family immigration IR -5 .( I am a US citizens and sponsored my mom)

If my mom stays in US continuously for three years will she be eligible to apply for her citizenship or will she have to wait for the full 5 years .

Can I ask how long the entire process took ?

She will be eligible for citizenship five years after she becomes a full-time resident. The three-year rule only applies to spouses.

One quick question my mothers passport got stamped with the I-551 in Dec 2013 and she had time till May 15th to travel.

She entered US in May , I am still waiting for the physical green to arrive, I have paid the $165 fee in April 2013.

Will my mother GC show start date (Valid from) as Dec 2013 or May 2014 (when she entered)...
