When do NVC contact petitioner back with case number:

We were approved at USCIS stage about 6 weeks ago, and it was transferred to NVC about 5 weeks ago. About when do NVC contact us back with a case number? Or do we have to contact them?

Call NVC and get your case # and IIN

You should call them to know if they have received your case file. I called to know when they received my case file and I also got my case number on friday over the phone, have not received any email yet from nvc. So just call them

They maybe too busy answering other calls, they will put u on hold and u have to wait till somebody answer u. In my case I always waited 45 mins or more everytime I call.

Tip: best time to call is 10:30 am est time

Ready your uscis case # , your petitioner name and birthday and yours because they will ask it.
