A better way to put it is a banned member was allowed to return but was not able to change the behavior that led to the ban in the first place.

I give Kip credit for trying and also for a very entertaining series of posts, but if you have to have several posts removed on your first day back, the writing is on the wall.

I thought we had a nice progression where we had him getting better and better as he went along. He changed up as he posted and looked like he may be a good contributor soon. I personally think he could have been an asset to the site.

I was fine with his posts. I thought they were more fiction than anything, and I laughed a lot. However they did push the envelope and when you get of jail, you don't head to the bar across the street and cut doughnuts in the parking lot after drinking a 12 pack.

With his history, he should not have been improving, he should have been Mr. white gloves and party manners, especially at first.

I certainly was not setting him up to fail. I reposted his deleted post with his permission after I sincerely thought it was cleaned up enough to suit being posted here. I look at is a man down a bit needing to vent to some familiar faces. He needed to get it off of his chest, so I encouraged him to continue with his story. I found it entertaining and I wish him the best. I don't think he was trying to push moderation's limits, I think he was trying to tone it down from when he was here before. But it didn't work out. I did not judge him, others delighted in it.

I was not meaning you alone. Several were having fun with him and encouraging him. A couple were warning him and asking him to tone down and he was I thought making huge improvements. I was hoping after the meeting a clean slate was offered and go from there. All I saw was the revenge and possibly bias showing of moderation.

Do you think all his stories were true? I mean you know better than I. some sounded very out there. Almost like the Flip side of the stories Gary use to spin.

I think the basics of his stories were true, with some adjectives thrown in for color and a few others to get a rise out of people. Some of that stuff you just couldn't make up. Kip admitted where he was wrong and made mistakes, do you ever recall Gary doing that? Kip may have a big ego, but there is also a down to earth side to him that I think many find likable. I think most of us have known or had a friend like Kip at some point in life. One doesn't have to agree with him or condone what he says and does in order to be on friendly terms with him and those like him. I think he is a natural story teller, and a captivating one at that.

There are people who have been on VJ who posted racist, sexist ####### and they were, rightfully, banned. People who constantly attack others should be banned.

Kip, I would prefer the mods just roll their eyes and delete his posts when he crosses the line. When he said something wrong, I didn't see that he was intentionally being malicious. He just had a different way than most of us.

and I agree but as long a history as head with VJ and they are having to Mod him right off the bat. You knew it was not going to last long
