Today while driving to work I recieved a text from the USCIS case acceptance confirmation. I also was emailed a reciept number and that my case was transferred to the Nebraska Service Center and in 7-10 days I will recieve the official hard copy reciept in the mail. This is all great news accept my check has not been cashed. Is that normal? Also on the USCIS website when I type the reciept number in it says "On May 19, 2014, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN etc....I recieved the confirmation today 27MAY14.

I am mainly worried about the check not being cashed. Thanks in advance.

May 19th is the day they received and generated your receipt number no the day you received the notice.

Are you sure there has been no action bounce check or anything like that. It could be slow I would call them to verify all is well but at least you have receipt #. Now register your receipt number to get text and email going forward.
