Hi, has anyone recently done their CRBA in Cebu? Same process like in Manila, right? but no appointment needed? Can anyone share their experience? please and thanks :)

2007 - Came back from the U.S.2008 - Met Nic (L)November 27,2009 - Had first daughter :goofy: - June 19,2010 - Got Married at a Church (F) - February 2011 - CRBA my first child at US Embassy Manila and officially a dual Citizen Baby October 12,2011 - Had our 2nd child/son :dancing:August 23,2013 - Petitioned NicAugust 30,2013 - Petition APPROVED :thumbs: October 2013 - Received Approval letterOctober 2013 - Received Packet 3 + Case NumberJanuary 2014 - Moving foward with DS-260January 2014 - Problem 1: thought we didn't have a case number coz we were looking for a NVC number -_- Took 3 months to noticed we already had it in our hands :bonk: April 2014 - Problem 2: Wrong input of the applicants birthday on their system, and didn't notice it until this month... <_< :bonk: :idea:May 2,2014 - Out of no where, i tried the wrong birthday and POOF! Finished the form right away, by the way. DS-260 = DONE!!! :content: :idea: May 9,2014 - Finally found an available slot for VISA INTERVIEW! Yeyy!! :dancing: May 15,2014 - Wrong birthday finally corrected - USEM just received our DS-260 Form which was done 2 weeks ago :clock: [Next should be setting the interview and medical and doing CRBA for 2nd child... :clock: Hoping my husband will get his visa in a month because I need to leave for U.S. by July because we are having our 3rd child this October 2014 :dancing: ] May 28,2014 - Medical at SLEC = PASSED!!! June 6,2014 - Interview at USEM = ?????? - CRBA <p> (L)(L)(L)

The CRBA process is the same worldwide. If the ACS section of the Cebu consulate accepts walkins you will have to clear with them or check the website.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Yes you can do CRBA in Cebu and walks ins are the norm there. However, John Domingo (the retired American guy that heads up the Cebu Consulate) is on vacation until June 1st. CRBA and passports issues only until John returns on June 2.

ETA: The Cebu Consular office will be open May 27-30, for CRBA and passport inquiries only -- 9am-11am. Then back to normal business on June 2.

Thank you so much!!! Because I don't think I can do the CRBA and my husbands interview at the same

Time in Manila next week. I can't find a vacant spot for the CRBA in Manila. And I really need to have his CRBA done asap. I don't wanna leave my son here in the Philippines ? It is the same process though right? 2-4weeks? My daughters took like 3 weeks I think. But we did it Manila 2 years ago.

What if I talk to them in person? Do you think they will allow me? I am currently in Manila to accompany my husband in his Medical.

Contact ACS at Manila Embassy and they can clear up an appointment.

Yes I am the USC. Ok I will try my best. I hope they will let me. My pregnancy charm has been working everywhere ;) so I hope it'll work there too... :)

Hi so I tried walking in the US embassy Manila for the CRBA. But the lady wouldn't give me a spot for June 6?? she explained everything that I already knew like where and how to set an appointment? I got frustrated but decided to take our chance in Cebu. I just hope the processing won't take long since they have to mail it to Manila after approval.. Hope all goes well

You will have to go there and find out and talk to the front gate. If you are the USC you might have a chance.
