No, I do not think it does. What I do think however, is that this child had absolutely no sense of values, either because of some psycopathic syndrome or because he was emotionally immature. If you want to talk about entitlement, this is genuinely dangerous entitlement. No one is entitled to sex with whoever the hell they want just because they fancy them. However I expect the media has picked up a lot of sensational stuff and missed out a lot of mundane things that probably explain this tragedy better. As with the guy who wants to lock up everyone with aspergers, there is no way to lock people up for saying wacky stuff, if there was, you are right, half the gun owners on VJ would be answering questions about the value of life and how they decide who is a worthless human being and should be shot without evidence.

That's the scary part. Those folks, who think this way have no issue imposing those type of laws denying rights for people who are different from them, yet the slightest mention of gun control is enough to cause a revolution.

It's a damn shame that we refer to women who we call our wives and mothers of our children as such. What's worse is these women think there's nothing wrong with it.

Maybe I'm by myself on this one but I think rap is used to keep us down. By paying these rappers to say the nastiest things about each other and themselves rather than helping one another, to promote spending money on material things instead of investing, to talk about joining gangs, drinking, and doing drugs rather than staying in school, going to college, or learning a trade, they've figured out a way to influence an entire race of people. I feel the same way about sport figures as well.

There is good rap and there is bad rap.

But please, do not act as if rap is purely supported by the black community only. And do not act as if the U.S. is the only country with rap. Rap is no more the blame than video games. People choose their own path. However, since rap is out here it is an excuse for people to say, "see! All black people are the same." Where as it is okay for non-black rappers.

My bad Janelle. I'm talking about a different context. I'm not against rap in that vein. I used to be a devoted listener until it became so convoluted with vulgarity and misogynist views against women I couldn't stomach it.

I was talking about how I see the rap and sports culture is used to hold us back. It's easier to drop a mix tape or dribble a ball rather than go to school or create something.

Like I said, that's just me. I see an entire generation of children whose sole motivation in life is to become a rapper or a basketball player and "make it big". What happened to inventing something? To be the first at something positive? To discover something? To change the way we live in a society?

I guess I want people to go bigger than that.

What about my wannabe hoodlum nephews who wear their pants down around their a$$es running around saying ####### this and ####### that? The can't even utter a complete sentence. They're white by the way. Is it to keep them down as well?

I say this because I work around many foreigners and have met many who have told me this.

Ow my gosh, you are such a nice black person. We were told to be careful of black people because they are so dangerous.

From my own experience, not assumptions.

You are a nice black person as is Marvin.. Joking

I told my Mom when she was living. Not racist but raised in a different era. Mom when you are talking to a black person and telling a story, about someone you don't have to point out they are black

YES.

but since they're white, if they ever figure out how to form a complete sentence, they'll not have so many odds stacked against them. they're lucky in that respect.

Collateral damage, I'm afraid. I've seen it in Asian cultures as well. I can't stand ignorance in any form, but when I see folks that try to act "black"(read ignorance), my blood boils.

I am guilty of listing to rap. There are lots of good rap songs that have great beats to work out to with sketchy lyrics. Why we thugs is a prime example. Awesome beat Sketchy lyrics. You can't listen to Tupac singing about hugging his Momma thru a jail cell without being moved. Tupac also does a good job of explaining the emotions of being an inner city black without being to bad. As does Sharissa and R. Kelly with, In love with a thug. Although that is more R and B
