Looks like the Koo-Koo-s are now trying to blame White male entitlement for the what the spoiled indulged son of a Hollywood exec did with a Knife,Car and Gun . They really have know shame in pushing an agenda

This time, we’ve seen misogyny and men’s sense of entitlement added to the usual suspects of guns and mental illness. We’d suggest another variable be added to the lethal equation: race.
We are not saying that the fact that Elliot Rodger identified himself as white is the single cause of his gruesome rampage. Not at all.
But if we want to understand how this happened, and how to prevent it in the future, we are going to have to confront race. Let’s look at the facts. In the last 20 years, all but one of the school shootings were committed by a white man.
Rodger’s enemies were not only the beautiful white girls who he felt constantly turned him down for dates and rejected him sexually. His rage was also toward all the men of color he felt those white girls chose over him.
In his manifesto he writes: “How could an inferior, ugly black boy be able to get a white girl and not me? I am beautiful, and I am half white myself. I am descended from British aristocracy. He is descended from slaves. I deserve it more.”
Here’s another way Rodger’s race was involved. His parents were so worried that they called the police. The police went to his house and questioned him. They thought that he was basically fine, posed no threat, and they left him alone.
Now imagine if he’d been black and expressed the threatening rage that is present in his many YouTube videos. The police would have knocked and he’d have been in handcuffs instantly.
.
But Elliot Rodger, the son of a British father and Asian mother, identified himself as white. He “looked normal."
The commonality among these shooters is, overwhelmingly, race and gender. This is a voice of white male aggrieved entitlement. Our willingness to assign blame to individuals, at the expense of any attention to the underlying trends in these repeated cases of white male violence, allows this violence to continue

It does highlight some ugly truths. First, his manifest entries does show a racial slant towards black young men.

In his manifesto he writes: “How could an inferior, ugly black boy be able to get a white girl and not me? I am beautiful, and I am half white myself. I am descended from British aristocracy. He is descended from slaves. I deserve it more.”

Sorry, that's racial.

As for the end of the article, if he was black and the police were called, I'd wager they would have dug a bit deeper than just a casual conversation. I've all but had my DNA asked for when I get pulled over.

and conversely you saying if he was black the cops would have dug deeper is Racist. That's just a preconceived notion based on race

Preconceived isn't the right word. It's a fact. We've proven here and I can attest IRL that being black adds something extra to the mix. You've said yourself with crime stats alone that young black men would grab your attention more than anyone else. So why is pointing this out a problem?

Young black men are about 3% of the population and commit almost 50% of the violent crime. That's just a stat right ? But yet you think I should treat one approaching me on the street with no more of a jaundiced eye than a 70 year old lady.

How is that any different than you assuming that the black kid would be handled different than a white kid. based on your own personal experiences, you think he would. It's not a fact. That makes it a prejudice, just like me avoiding the young black male.

He was Anglo Asian. And it seems that all his victims were white or Asians.

Not sure of the local demographics but no Hispanics or Blacks suggest some lack of balance.

His issue was women but most of his victims were men including the first three.

And those stats are used to solidify the treatment of black men right? So, why is it a problem when this line of thought is used to point out how if this kid was black, they would have paid more attention?

I agree with you 100%. I am pointing out you are just as prejudiced as others just in a different direction

Not knowing how these things work, I was surprised that the response to a report of someone with mental health issues was to send 6? Police Officers?

I think people should be judged by their actions. There are some black people I would avoid, just like there are white people I feel the same way about. But the author is touching on something that isn't usually thought about. We're judged by the actions those who look like us, but you're not.

Oh but I am. You tell us all the time how racist white people are

you just told us how you expected those cop to ask, based on the fact they have a uniform

It's called benefit of the doubt. That thing that eludes most of us. So, it's not racist if black men commit the crimes, but racist if it's called out when the perp is white?

His dad isn't really a Hollywood Exec. It was widely publicized, but then I read a more in depth article that said his dad mostly wanted to be in Hollywood, but only worked on commercials. He did get the Hunger Games gig as an AD or something, but he was pretty much an outsider.

I am not sure it matters, but there you go.

He seems to had done well enough to have a comfortable life style, his father was much better known.

Wonder how they got here.
