NVC PROCESS TAKING TOO LONG

hi vj's please i will like to know if its just my case or its same for others i got my case no since april and did my choice of agent and paid for AOS in april the cheque was not cashed till 7th of may and i sent off my AOS package with the bar coded sheet on the 9th of may and it's been over two weeks now and i still cant pay the IV bill and fill out the DS 260 because its not opened on the website, i dont know its possible if i can go back to my K3 visa which i already have an interview date for june that was administratively closed.

Yes, but I also received my case number almost 2 weeks earlier than you. Since then NVC has slow down alil for some reason.

OK, what about calling the embassy here in Nigeria to reopen my k3 since i already have an interview date for June 9th but it was administratively closed along the way do you have any idea if that is possible.

Once the K3 is administratively closed, they send it back to NVC and then to USCIS for filing/Archiving.

You can always call them and ask but I'm pretty sure the K3 is done.

You can email the embassy and request that, however I don't think they will reopen it. Even at this pace NVC is still steadily working through cases. Because of the backlog they are swamped. I don't think you will be waiting much longer for the process to move along.

Visit the NVC May thread. There are plenty of members in the same stage of the process as you, and following their timelines and reading the posts might give you an estimated idea of when you might have case complete.

Nope! just relax. i think the NVC is very slow somehow, however, don't call call the embassy yet to avoid any delay of your i-130 processing from the NVC.

Do you know that some people it took them 12 months to get approval from the USCIS? just take it easy, to me i think you are good here.

Once you started processing at NVC you gave your intentions of following the CR1/IR1 path so the K3 is dead sorry. You will have to just endure NVC and get through that way. Unfortunate. Sorry.

no dear i didnt give my intention i just made an enquiry to the embassy asking what to do when my i130 was approved and they replied me that my K3 path will be administratively closed that i should go thru the cr1 path.

Just keep calling the NVC every day - even if they tell you to wait 30 days. Be persistent and call once a day. They are backed up due to the backlog at USCIS.
