Hi everyone, can anybody help me with my question.my k1 visa is approved here in abu dhabi, im going to have interview here, and in our application my fiance including my daughter in the petition.if will god permit that my visa will be approved here, will my daughter be able to get her visa in manila while mine is here in UAE.thanks for the future info..have a great day everyone?

From my understanding she will only be able to get a visa from the US embassy where you interview (UAE) (she need to interview with you unless she is doing a follow-to-join). She can not go to the US consulate in Manila to get a visa that is applied for at the US consulate in UAE.

At best, you can ask the National Visa Center for assistance in this matter and they could possibly set that up for you, but it is doubtful in my opinion. Your daughter will need to go through all the fee payments and medical exams, etc.

Thank you phd1974, so it's better to fill follow to join instead coming with me, because she is residing in the Philippines

to avoid problems and difficulties on her part.

As always, the petitioner can try to call the NVC (National Visa Center) for guidance on this issue. Each consulate has different procedures and fees. You would also need documented permission from the child's mother as well. I believe there is a process or document that needs to be filled in for this. Or it is some notarized letter.

No matter ... you will still need permission regardless if you had never been married. You will need permission from both parents, especialy if the father is listed on the birth certificate. Contact the US consulate in your area.

If you have sole custody of the child, then you would not need a letter UNLESS there is some court document that is needed.

I have read of people on here where they were never married to the father of their child and the child has been living with the mother, but they still needed permission. I have also read where this is not the case based on the country where you reside.

I am not sure what the requirements are for UAE. It would be beneficial to contact the US consulate there and verify on whether you need the permission or not.

Phd1974, so you mean her visa will be coming from uae embassy not in manila, even she will be coming to US later than me, her father never get in touch with us since when she was little.and now she's 18, I am trying to emailing NVc, but mo response?

Yes, that is from my understanding. When you file the I-129F, the petition is approved and then sent to the embassy stated on the I-129F form. Since you listed your child on that form, all of the information is sent to the US embassy in UAE, which includes the responibility of interviewing the child listed on the I-129F form. The embassy in Manila will have no information or anything in regards to interviewing your child. All of the paperwork goes to the US emabssy in UAE.

If you need to change the consulate, you would need special permission to do so. Contact the US embassy there in UAE. I am sure they could be more helpful than I in regards to your situation. But the NVC would be the best to call if you wanted to interview in one place and have your daughter interview in another place on a follow-to-join.

Also, I do not know how long your child has been where she is at, and I do not know where you are originally from but you may want to look at the following link:

If she does not have legal residence, or is not a citizen of that country, then she may have to interview in the country of her birth/nationality.

thanks phd1974,one concerned vj member already confirmed it that we can process our k visa separately,she will used my case number here in abu dhabi,she will do the same as mine,and in our application my fiance wrote auh/mnla consulate..for me and for her..thanks for your kind reply..

phd1974,i'm from philippines but currently residing and working here in Dubai,my daughter reside in our country..thank you so much
