A joint sponsor for the I-864 can be any US citizen or legal permanent resident with residence anywhere in the US. They do not have to be related. They just need to meet the requirement for their own household size plus the foreign spouse.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is AOS, not K-1 ~

Thank You soooo much. What you think will be the requirements for the other sponsor?

Requirements for a joint or co-sponsor can be found on the I-864 instructions: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

- Have to check carefully which ones are applicable for your co-sponsor's specific circumstance.

They need to meet the income requirement for their own household size plus the intending immigrant, fill out an I-864, provide proof of being a USC or LPR, submit at least the most recent year's tax transcript, and provide proof of current income with a letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs.

As stated above, read through the I-864 instructions. It explains about joint sponsors and lists everything required for someone filling out the form.
