Hi Everyone,

I hope anyone can help me in regards to this issue. My now husband entered on a fiance visa in December 2013 and we got married right away and filed for AOS. We got our EAD and AP a couple of months after filing for them. Then in mid April, we got a potential interview waiver for our GC but we will still have to wait 6 months till we get it. We are now planning on going back to his home country , Egypt, around Sept. or Oct. My main concern is about him leaving Egypt with an advance parole, if he did not get his GC yet. Will they be familiar with advance parole at the airport customs (cuz they have customs while leaving Egypt in the airport)? Or will they give us trouble? I know there are no visas or such that we have to file for with an AP.

Also, any experiences with AP after entry to the USA would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

You should not have a problem, but if you want to be totally safe, then call the airline you will be using to make sure they know ahead of time about the EAD/AP combo card so there are no delays in you boarding the plane.

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based to Working & Traveling During US Immigration - topic is travel with AP ~
