I received my NOA2 on April 29th (almost a month ago,) and have heard nothing since. Based on what I've read from others, this seems unusual... I haven't received any mail from NVC, nor has my fiance received any mail from the embassy (should be Vancouver.) We've been on vacation for a couple of weeks and expected things to be moving by the time we got home, but there's nothing. USCIS Case Status still says Post Decision Activity, and hasn't changed since the NOA2 date.

Do you guys think I should continue to wait, or call somebody? Call NVC, or the Vancouver embassy? Not really sure what to do. Thanks!

You need to call to the NVC to find out your case number, and after that wait untill they forward your petition to the embassy,on USCIS site nothing will change for you any more it will be Post decision activity and nothing else you can see over there! Now all what you need is to contact the NVC!

This is normal. Try and not allow this to become too frustrating and let time pass. NVC will probably not have a case number right now because the case hasn't been scanned into their system.

USCIS assigns a bar code as the last step. The case is then bundled with others and sent to NVC. NVC may take longer than we think to scan these cases so the case may appear to be " lost ".

Try to concentrate your efforts on getting ready to live in America rather than worrying your way thru this difficult process.

Call the NVC to see if your case has reached them and/or been sent to the consulate yet. They can give you your case# once they have your case file.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to K-1 Progress Reports - topic is case status ~

Once you have the case number from NVC, you can email the consulate with it, and request they email you the Packet 3. They may send it to you right away or they may tell you they won't send it until they actually receive your file from NVC. Do you have everything you need for the Packet 3 (police cert(s) etc.?
