I love it that Maggie has the CLASS to bring out into the open one of the ugly secrets of MENA. Those who dismiss her post as "dramatic" do nothing more than serve the interests of those who use the cloak of PMs to try to manipulate and control the board and its free exchange of ideas. No one really cares who makes friends with whom, but when some attempt to use their friendships to tell people who they can and who they can't respond to or be friends with themselves, there's no reason not to address that.

I know for a fact that I'm one of those that have been blacklisted. I've known it for months. I don't really care since I don't want to associate with people whose mentality is still grade school anyway, but that it is done is a problem for the board, not only for those directly affected.

The bottom line is, there are chronological adults here and there are MATURE adults, and the twain often does not meet. It is up to the MATURE adults to negotiate proper behavior, but by dismissing the issues Maggie is exposing, you only allow the chronological adults to continue their mainpulations unopposed.

You can judge her or you can act to resolve the issue. I prefer to act.

Maggie is exposing issues she has in "friendships" she purports were close enough to hurt her. I don't know Maggie and I don't know about the blacklisting PM's, but if my "friend" PM's something I disagree with, I take it up with her.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but this is truly far more dramatic post than the passive aggressives. "Ugly secret of MENA" is ridiculous, and you know it. There isn't a day that goes by without arguing, everyone seems to have a memory years long about every single nit & pick & insult ever made----there are no secrets. And your presumption that anyone around here has the power over anyone else to create a blacklist via PM gives way too much credence to anyone you might be thinking of, and surely you don't give much credence to many here, as you've stated any number of times.

I haven't gotten a PM, but if I had, I assure you I wouldn't have dealt with the person on a public forum, especially one I considered my friend prior to said PM.

I've spoken to many of the women in this forum online and off and not once has anyone suggested you are blacklisted or should be. Case in point, I think you and I trade posts nearly everyday.

If there is a list im sure i am on it now for sure, wasnt my intentions but... back to the off side messages. THey do happen and the people that did them know who they are and they know what was said, now say if the person they were directed to, does go back to the originator and express i dont feel like this and perfer not to act this way. Then if it continues then what.. maybe it takes a little airing for some to see themselves and apparently its only a small few from here as most say they dont seem to understand the situation.

THen again how many others have come on even from the past to verify that it has happend to them to. Its true only those going from the same regions will tend to be the closet and know the problems so how can they in the same time act this way to those of their own group (no matter which one it is) sisters fight but also will be the others best protectors.

Hope you stay, and the PMS are childish as you said. THis group can have so much to offer to others that need the help, me included, but we (or I) already know how to fight and argue. I don't see any other group being made fun of so much as this one, I liked Maggie and I think those of you responsible for her words will see yourselves, but then again you probably wont.
