My US citizen spouse requested at NVC to expedite the process, this month it been one year since he filed for me in the USA. Last week thursday 22nd of may we received an email that the NVC has accepted to expedite the case, so they said they forwarded the file inmediately to the US embassy in Nicaragua.

My spouse already paid the AOS and IV fees and already submitted the documents requested. so since they expedite it we don´t know whether they accepted the AOS and IV and approve d them or because of expedition they forwarded everything at the embassy to be done.

My hubby called the NVC to find out about that and to get the appointment date but they said they have nothing else to do with the case.

I called the US embassy on my end and they told me they cannot give me any answer concerning that, so I must email them. So I did email them but by now got no answer.

Do you think because of expedite it will go faster or how long will I wait for an appointment date?

can call into NVC again and punch option 3-

then ask about the appointment date.

why? those folk share the same consular casefile tracking computer system with the IV Unit

so

when the IV Unit sets the appointment

then

NVC [option 3] will see it and tell the caller about it.

Sure - must use a telephone and must call often.

Since the expedite was granted - instead - I suggest the beneficiary contact the IV Unit via email and ask:

1. what date the casefile arrived and

2. what date the casefile was logged in and

3. will you get in on the next round of scheduling for IV appointments and

4. please EMAIL the appointment letter as soon as it's set...

email them twice a week until you get a response on 1 and 2.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
