Till today I have no response from NVC regarding interview date, my case actually got completed on 24 June. Scheduling for relatives of citizens is going on at my consulate. Don't know when I will hear from NVC hoping for next week.

Chill..you still need to wait if your embassy's interview slots are full.

Since you're under citizen category..things should be fast..like wait for another month !

There are many people in India so i think you should know the situation

No I am not in citizen catergory, my category is employment based I.e. EB2 India through consular processing. My husband is permanent resident and I am follow to join under his category.

But relatives of citizens who got their case completed after me at NVC, they already have the interview slots. Why this discrimination between citizens and LPR.

I'm afraid you'll have to wait much longer...because you're not under citizens category.

I myself have been waiting for aprox. 4 months since March after case complete because my priority date is not current. May you mind telling your Pritority date ?

Correct me if i am wrong, but spouse or whatever of US Citizens will get queue up to interview immediately after case complete and there is no waiting time for them, however for spouse of LPR they need to wait till their priority date become current.

All eyes are on October VB

Hope this somehow help

My priority date is current it's sept 2007, and visa category is EB2 India. It's employment based category. Actually I am follow to join case of LPR. My husband and me we got married a month before he got green card. So I got his PD?

Oh that's great..since you're follow to join then i'd say you won't have to wait longer just that the priority go to Immediate Relative of USC first for interview slots.

Ok..but we are scared as we are hearing dates might retrogress in September and I am not sure how true is that. During my continuos follow up with NVC they have stated that visa no. Is already allotted for you and you can receive interview letter anytime. I don't wanna get affected by retrogression. Our dates just got current on 1 July, in a year how can they keep current only for 2 months. It's frustrating.

Hello everyone, after almost 4 weeks of case completion I received a checklist today which I believe is a false checklist.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The NVC has received the information you submitted and placed it in your case file. You will be contacted when your petition is sent to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for further processing.

Please advise, what should I do. We were expecting interview schedule and we received this. Does this mean they will take another 4 weeks to schedule the interview. I am really worried now. Even calling NVC everyday doesn't help, they don't give appropriate response and if you ask many questions they seem to get annoyed. It's really frustrating even after waiting so long now we have our dates current and we are still not getting interview slot.
