Has anyone had any experience emailing the NVC? About how long did they take to get back to you? I'm specifically interested in early emailing - have they received the case, case number, etc.

We emailed nvc 3 weeks ago and still no response....

01-08-2013 : We decided to be a couple and walk on the same life path!!!!

06-08-2013 : I traveled to the US to stay with my man for 3 months. We got engaged!!!!

Meanwhile :

July 2013 : My fiancé apply for his citizenship.

November 2013 : My fiancé become an American citizen.

I'm trying to avoid having to make international calls, especially if they involve being on hold for a while. Emailing would be best, but if I don't hear a reply by the end of the week, I think I'll try calling.

It costs a looooooot to call if u are not in the states especially nvc that u must be on hold for at least half an hour

I emailed them 3 or 4 times in February/March to change my address and for a few other things. I never once got a response back from them. I had to call to verify they got my emails and changed my address.

Our IR-1/CR-1 Timeline: (I'm the petitioner)

[2006]: Met *him* for the first time on an online game

[01/13/2013]: He proposed; I said yes <3

[05/04/2013]: We married in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA before our family and friends

[06/05/2013]: Sent off our I-130 packet to USCIS

[06/10/2013]: NOA1 by email

[01/21/2014]: NOA2 by email after a long 7 months

[03/17/2014]: Got our case number/received and paid AOS Bill (same day)

[03/17/2014]: Completed and submitted DS-261

[03/31/2014]: Received and paid IV Bill

[04/16/2014]: Sent out completed AOS packet to NVC

[04/17/2014]: Completed and submitted DS-260

Hi everyone,

im also confuse about the NVC responce time line.

The case here is, on 24th-Apr-14 i received mail from the NVC to send our orignal Nikkah nama.I was sent on 30th-Apr-14.Now onward im still awaiting form NVC reply for my interview date.i called them many time almost every week for once but thay have the same answer plz wait for 30 days we are working on it.Its really furstrating for me,longgg waitttttttt. My wife is here in pakistan with me and she has confirmed return ticket in first week of Jun14.If NVC give me interview date then i will extanded her ticket date because I want to bring my wife to embass for interview.

I just got a response today for an email I sent May 5th.

Please tell me that was the request to correct your name :P

OP, I got a response to my email after two weeks. I was asking for my case number. Very pleased to get the response, but what I didn't bargain on was a possibly flustered and overworked administrator spelling my name wrong, haha.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

I originally emailed NVC on the 21st, but seeing the wait time others had experienced, I decided to suck it up & call them. Calling internationally & being on hold for 30 minutes made me cry inside, but at least I have some peace of mind now. :)

Guysssssss still nothing :( they havent received my case i guess...... Pffff thats so annoying!! We ll never finish k1.... JESUS CHRIST!!! I ll have to wait 4 months to set an interview appointment in my country!! Nobody cares from the government??? Nobody cares that we are individuals and we have emotions? They look at us just like papers and money!!!
