Well during my Fiance's recent interview at the London consulate during his interview the woman asked for proof of income so he gave her my paystubs, letter from employer, tax return etc. As I am over the financial requirement she approved him. But here's what's worrying she never asked for Affidavit of Support form so he never gave it to her. Will this cause a 221 g?

Well the request for further documents was your 221g. And no you don't get denied because of income they would tell you if you need a co-sponsor and you usually have a year to get that paperwork in.

It does take time when you have to give documents after the interview. So just hang on it will come.

have no idea. If its something they need yes they will notify you. The interview is over they don't keep giving out 221g. they will notify you if what they have isn't enough is what i am saying.

You seem concerned about a 221g which can mean alot of things.

Yes its a required form part of the K1 P3 package.

Why didn't the VO ask for this?! He had it on him but never handed it over because she didn't request it.

It would be mega super highly unusual for two people to forget to check for an Affidavit of Support. There is a document person who gathers everything. There is an interviewer who reviews it. I think they have what they need and you are assuming two people went brain dead at the exact same time. If they needed something, they would have asked. They are pretty good at what they do.

And you can not be 100% positive unless you were present. You weren't there to check his folders. You did not witness every document collected. But if you choose to punish yourself and your fiancé with thoughts of doom, then why post about it. I gave an opinion because you sent me a PM so I assumed you wanted my thoughts. I'm done on this topic because it doesn't really matter what anybody thinks. Your mind is set on failure.

The thing about the London embassy is that they're quite lenient on some aspects. For example, they will only deny someone due to lack of bona fide relationship once in a blue moon when all the planets align and Justin Bieber starts producing good music.

The same thing applies to the financial side of things with the I-134. Sometimes all they need are some paystubs to be satisfied. Sometimes they take just the I-134 with no evidence and take it at face value. Others, they demand everything. It varies by case. Remember, the I-134 only covers the 90 days your fiancé's I-94 runs for, so isn't the big dealbreaker that the I-864 is you do at the AOS stage.

If for some reason the embassy did make a mistake, you and your fiancé will be contacted and asked to submit that document. You would not be flat-out denied, ever. Even if your fiancé turned around and said "I'm marrying her for the green card", they still would not flat-out deny him.

Did you get a 221g? It is very unusual for it to be sent after the interview. Usually they say you have been approved or we cannot finish processing your visa at this time and hand you a piece of paper. Very rarely have I seen where the embassy contacted the intending immigrant later and asked for more documentation.

We were told we were approved. We didn't get a 221 g yet. But VO never asked for affidavit of support just supporting financial documents. So we may get a 221 get asking for affidavit.

Yes, there is a slim chance that the VO forgot to ask for the affirdavit of support and will realise it, and you get a 221g. And???

You have the affirdavit of support ready correct? Your fiance takes it to the embassy and successfully provides what the 221g is asking for, and then the visa gets issued.

I still don't understand why you are stressing about something that is sooooo easily fixed? And this is the worst case scenario. Like many others have mentioned, there is a greater possibility of you NOT getting a 221g issued for the AOS then getting one.
