4 Months and still no Interview date? Is this Normal?

Hey

The whole process of our application from NOA1 to NOA2 took about 2 months and now is been almost 4 months (4 months on 4th june to be exact) and we haven't recieved anything from Abu Dhabi Embassy.

The worst part is not knowing anything because Abu Dhabi Embassy has this pretty stupid rule, they dont reply to ur emails concerning dates or delays or anything like that. They could pretty much loose your file and you could wait a year but they still wouldnt reply to your email about your interview date or case..

Anyone else been gone through Abu Dhabi Embassy?

How long did it take you to get the Interview date?

How did u recieve the interview information?

Is approaching NVC a better solution? Because Abu Dhabi Embassy dont reply at all.

I just dont know what use NVC could be do at this point, they forwarded the case to the right embassy there job seems to be done..?

becaz nvc schedule your interview. and btw u have to do ur medical .call NVC as soon as possible .

For other embassies cross the planet,

one has to notify the embassy that one is ready to go -

usually by paying the Visa Application Fee and noticing it somewhere.

I don't know squat about UAE - but I ask - what do you know?

When you click through yer portal, is the Embassy HowTo up to date?

for

K-1 visa chasers? OP is a K-1 visa chaser, and the Visa Application process is different than _yours_.

UAE Abu Dhabi Embassy doesnt reply on phone or email regarding visa date so its impossible.

That would be normal for the Egypt embassy. NVC does not schedule the appointments. You have to wait for the Black Hole (aka embassy) to notify you. I thought Egypt was a special case as far as the wait time goes, but maybe that one is bad, too? Have you checked out similar timelines here to see if that wait time is normal?

Okay first since your NOA2 what have you done?

1. have you called NVC to get your case#

2. Have you read your consular information page here on VJ

3. Have you been keeping an eye on your email from the embassy for your packet 3?

You could try to turn in your DS-160. I don't know how they do it for your embassy but for Yemen they sent Packet four in the mail with and interview date. They messed us up because they sent the letter after the interview date and we missed it. You can call the NVC and see when they sent it to Abu Dhabi. You can also check your case status online at the ceac website with your case number. Do you have that? If it makes you feel better a little we are still waiting for our appointment since November. I don't expect your wait to be that long. But, it does not hurt to send a monthly email to the embassy letting them know you are waiting on an appointment.

My status on CEAC has been "READY" for interview since 4th February, thats how i am counting.

READY means they assigned you an interview. Please check and reject your email, spam mail and try and try again to notify the embassy. Since nothing gets sent to embassy before interview you bring it all so looks like you have interview and don't know it.
