I have every idea; my green card didn't just fall from the sky. There's prayer, and there's being realistic. Those two things are not always the same. Take from my posts what you will; the ignore function is available.

You're right greencard don't fall from the sky, but the hope, the pray , believe in something help people to go ahead in this difficult situations..

+1. Praying that the visa bulletin will move forward is one thing. Praying that you won't be included in the visa retrogression, that unfortunately is just giving yourself false hope and setting yourself up for disappointment. I myself would rather know the situation now as I can deal with it sooner than later.

But im still hoping till 60 days last.

im still waiting for the email from nvc if we are really included in the retrogression. Still praying very hard....

You are included in the retrogression. That's a fact because your PD is AFTER the 01MAY2012 cut-off.

The truth hurts but it is what it is. USEM does not approve visas based on sympathy. They follow rules set by the US Department of State.

I got to watch my wife die slowly in front of me over the course of many months. People posting on VJ will see their loved ones again, but I never will. You'll forgive me if I don't have a great deal of sympathy for those people separated temporarily. Yes it sucks, yes it can be unfair in some situations, but it more often than not ends with a positive outcome. My wife is gone forever, and I will never see her again.

Let me be clear: people are free to believe in whatever imaginary figures they wish. The easter bunny, Santa Claus, God, vampires, werewolves, fairies, the Loch Ness monster...really whatever gets them through the day. Just don't pretend that their belief somehow magically affects the visa process which is enshrined in law with a clearly-defined set of rules to follow, one of which is that if your priority date isn't current then you don't get a visa until it is. No amount of prayer is going to change that.

I think they will give it back. Anyhow, you said you sent an email to USEM, right? They might give you a more definite answer regarding your case.

Yes my husband, my petitioner did.,i hope they can respond the soonest so i can move on and will know what to do next.

Nope but I remember retrogression because it happened back in 2010.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your wife..life is really unfair..you're right on that, pray or believe in something does not make you get your visa, but it helps to not become demoralized and depressed .. it helps to spend most of the waiting time...
